4 of Disks - Seven years would be insufficient...

“It is not time or opportunity that is to determine intimacy;—it is disposition alone. Seven years would be insufficient to make some people acquainted with each other, and seven days are more than enough for others.” ― Jane Austen

The natural inclination of a 4 of Disks (Sun in Capricorn) type person is to choose to protect himself from intimacy. This is a card of strict personal boundaries and walls for self-protection that have been fortified many times over.

An aspect of the relationship with the Father (Capricorn) may need to be healed for the fear of intimacy to melt away.

And, of course, this is a card of holding on tightly to money out of fear that there will not be enough to go around. This really is the same fear which disallows intimacy. Where there is fear, there can be neither intimacy or abundance.

On a bigger scale, this is the card of large corporations,  banks and institutions. Red tape, dogmatic procedures and faceless 'customer service' falls under the domain of this card.

But it's not all bad with the 4 of Disks - this card can give you the backbone you need to start saying now and to put more solid personal boundaries in place. It can also teach you how to 'koka soppa på en spik' (literally translates from Swedish into "make soup from a nail") which means that you have the skills and power to survive on the bare minimum, whether it be an income or a relationship that has lost its spark... You will keep going strong!
